Ziesmer Adult Family Home

Ziesmer Adult Foster Home provides quality care to adults who are in need of specialized care. Clients served at our home are developmentally disabled with low cognitive function, and benefit from the structured treatment in a strong family setting.

The Ziesmer AFH is rurally located in the farmlands of southern Oconto County. Our charming country home is located at the end of a dead-end lane and is a safe haven for our special residents. The main level of the home is completely handicapped accessible with two ramps and 36" doors. Our non-ambulatory clients share a sunny room with its own entrance to the spacious front porch. Ambulatory residents may occupy a second floor bedroom.

Our home specializes in providing quality care for the developmentally disabled with moderate to severe medical needs. Close attention is given to monitoring and administering medications, securing and providing therapy services, supervision and assistance with personal care needs and individualized attention to specialized dietary requirements, such as tube feeding. Other medical treatments include suctioning and breathing treatments.

Residents in our home enjoy community outings with consideration given to each resident's ability level and enjoyment. Outings may include but are not limited to shopping, picnics at the park, trips to the zoo and road trips to enjoy sight seeing. Our extended family provides a warm and accepting environment that enriches the lives of our special residents.
